VISION
Development and application of best practices in sustainable construction in Quebec and elsewhere.
MISSION
Design 1 Habitat (D1H) is a nonprofit organization bringing together art, science and ecology in construction.
D1H is an association of architects, designers, builders, engineers and natural scientists who develop solutions for a healthier and socially just living environment.
Working within the construction industry in Quebec and worldwide, D1H develops best practices that will be shared amongst its members and the general public via open source license agreements (www.creativecommons.org).
The objective is to develop, monitor and manage cost-effective next-generation building solutions that are profitable, socially just and ecologically sound.
